[NEWS] PetOne Co., Ltd. – A Specialized Pet Treat Manufacturer for Companion Animal Health [A Promising SME at the Heart of Inn
“We will lead a sustainable pet food industry by providing safe and nutritious food for the health and happiness of companion animals.”

Established in November 2013, PetOne Co., Ltd. is a specialized manufacturer of pet treats, developing and producing a variety of functional snacks for dogs and cats. In 2022, the company relocated its initial factory in Yongin to a newly built facility in Anseong, significantly enhancing its hygiene and quality standards. Equipped with the latest systems, the new plant enables more hygienic and efficient production processes.
PetOne’s flagship products include squeeze-type treats, jelly-type snacks, retort pouches, dental chews, jerkies, and hand-made treats. In particular, the dental chews for dogs, which promote oral health, and the highly palatable squeeze-type snacks have gained strong market response. Representative products include Joan Kang’s “Jogong Series,” Harim’s “Bapibo-yak Daily Jelly,” MyBeef’s “Choolip Series,” and Dr.By’s “Dr.Breath.”
Since the emergence of the “companion” pet concept over “pet ownership,” PetOne has focused on developing products that meet the needs of consumers who view their pets as family members.
As an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specialized in pet food, PetOne’s key strength lies in its ability to flexibly produce small batches of diverse product types. It provides customized manufacturing services and strictly manages hygiene and quality through various certifications such as HACCP and SQF. The company also operates its own offline store to gather real-time customer feedback, which is reflected in product improvements and new developments. PetOne’s partnerships with veterinary clinics and technical MOUs have also boosted its competitiveness.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, PetOne maintained revenue growth and solidified its domestic market position. To overcome growth limitations, the company began expanding its exports in earnest last year. From $70,000 in exports in 2023, the figure grew to approximately $400,000 in the following year, with in-house brands like Petlabel and Kichu contributing significantly to this growth. The company also monitors overseas responses through participation in domestic and international exhibitions.
In February 2023, PetOne obtained SQF certification in preparation for its export expansion to the U.S., including an upcoming audit by Costco USA. Furthermore, the company is pursuing entry into Europe and the Middle East markets. PetOne's mission extends beyond revenue growth—aiming to promote the excellence of K-Pet Food and elevate the value of the Made in Korea brand in global markets.
In recognition of these efforts, PetOne was certified as a Promising SME by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA) in October last year. It also received certifications as a Job Creation Company, Family-Friendly Company, and Outstanding ESG Company, further reinforcing its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
The company actively creates manufacturing jobs for youth and middle-aged workers in southern Gyeonggi, including Anseong. As a designated military service exception workplace, PetOne contributes to improving job quality in the region.
CEO Park Sang-ho stated, “We aim to establish PetOne as a globally competitive brand in markets such as the U.S. and Europe, while continuing to grow our domestic sales. As a leading force in the Korean pet food industry, we will keep innovating to provide trustworthy products for both pets and their owners.”
He added, “We also strive to contribute to job creation in Anseong and the southern Gyeonggi region. As a certified military service exception workplace, we will actively utilize this designation to fulfill our social responsibility and create more opportunities within the local community.”
